ENplus A1

Certifications for pellets

ENplus standard

The European standard ENplus corresponds to the European standard EN14961-2. Currently awarded to more than 850 professionals, it includes different quality levels:

  • A1: the quality level equivalent to the DINplus standard. This is the quality level recommended for private individuals.
  • A2 and B: these quality levels are lower and are more intended for industrial or less demanding consumers.

The ENplus standard guarantees compliance with PEFC or FSC forest management standards and a certain level of quality in delivery and logistics. As with the DINplus standard, regular checks are carried out to ensure that pellet production continues to meet the criteria established by the standard.

What is the difference between these 3 certifications?

There are some differences between the three certifications, although overall their superior quality levels are equivalent. These differences lie particularly in the density (between 650 and 700 kg/m³ for the NF certification and greater than 600 kg/m³ for the ENplus A1 and DINplus certifications); and the lower heating value (> 4.6 kWh/kg for NF and between 4.6 and 5.3 kWh/kg for DINplus and ENplus).

We are a manufacturer of pellets and granules that meet ENplus A1 standards. Our exclusive partner, IBC Advice, handles the agreements for France. For more information or to obtain a quote,
